COVID-19 cases take another jump
Another rise in COVID-19 cases in B.C., the highest since early June, with 204 reported today.
More than half were in Interior Health (IH), 107, with no word how many are linked to an outbreak in the Central Okanagan.
There are now 600 active cares in IH, more than double the next highest, Fraser Health, with 241.
There are 1,055 active cases in the province, with 51 people in hospital and 20 in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, no new deaths have been reported for an overall total of 1,771.
Over 6.7 million vaccine doses have been administered, with 81.0 per cent of eligible people 12 and older getting one dose and 64.1 percent having both doses.
The new/active cases include:
* 58 new cases in Fraser Health
* Total active cases: 241
* 23 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health
* Total active cases: 139
* 107 new cases in Interior Health
* Total active cases: 600
* two new cases in Northern Health
* Total active cases: 19
* 14 new cases in Island Health
* Total active cases: 51
* no new cases of people who reside outside of Canada
* Total active cases: five
There are two active outbreaks in:
* long-term care: Holyrood Manor (Fraser Health) and Nelson Jubilee Manor (Interior Health)
