Memorable trip to the mall for Armstrong dad

An Armstrong resident had no idea he had $100,00 sitting in his wallet for three months.

David Strohm was on a visit to the mall with his daughters, and while feeling a bit of boredom, he decided to check his Lotto 6/49 ticket from the April 27, 2021 draw and was shocked to find out he had won a $100,000 Guaranteed Prize.

“My tickets usually sit in my wallet for awhile, and since I had the opportunity to I decided to check them,” said Strohm. “When I got to the ticket that showed $100,000, I didn’t know what to do.”

Strohm said he couldn’t wait to show his daughters, but had trouble finding the winning ticket when he went to scan it.

“I actually scanned a different one. My daughters had no idea what I was showing them.”

Strohm added the extra cash hasn’t quite sunk in yet, and it still feels surreal.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Super Store in Vernon.
