Interior Health to hold COVID-19 telephone town hall

The public will be able to have questions answered and voice their thoughts and concerns when Interior Health hosts a Telephone Town Hall on the COVID-19 situation Wednesday.

Health Minister Adrian Dix and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry will host the call with representatives from Interior Health also taking part. Together they will be able to provide information and answer questions about COVID-19.

The event will be held Wednesday, August 11, at 7 p.m.

People can participate by calling 1-877-229-8493 and using the ID code 117219.

The audio from the meeting will also be live streamed on the government’s website.

In the meantime, the province is encouraging British Columbians to get their COVID-19 vaccines. Appointments can be booked through the government’s website, by calling 1-833-838-2323, or by visiting a Service BC office.

Vernon and area residents can also visit one of the pop-up vaccination clinics being opened in town between August 10 and August 20.
