COVID-19 cases show local increases, down in Kelowna area

The Central Okanagan saw fewer cases of COVID-19 this past week, while Vernon had more.
That sums up the weekly report of new COVID-19 cases for Aug. 15-21 from figures provided by the BC Centre for Disease Control.
Greater Vernon, which is Vernon, Coldstream and RDNO Areas B and C, had 133 cases over the week, an increase of 24 from the previous week.
The Central Okanagan, which stretches from Lake Country to Peachland, had 737, which was down by 185.
Here are some other local numbers of note:
- Kamloops – 193 (up by 72)
- Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 16 (unchanged)
- Enderby – 28 (up by 15)
- Salmon Arm – 79 (up by 31)
- Penticton — 43 (up by 10)
- Revelstoke – 24 (down by nine)
