Many RDCO parks reopen with local fires under control
Many RDCO parks reopen as local fires subside
The White Rock Lake and Mt. Law wildfires are now both classified as “under control” by BC Wildfire. With changes in Evacuation Alerts and Orders in many areas, residents have been returning to their neighbourhoods. Many of the parks in those areas are also being reopened today after assessments confirm they are safe for the public to visit.
These include community parks in Central Okanagan West Electoral Area:
- Fintry Access 1 and the Fintry Boat Launch
- Fintry Access 2
- Westshore Estates Community Park
And Regional Parks in Peachland and West Kelowna:
- Trepanier Creek Greenway Regional Park
- Goats Peak Regional Park
- Glen Canyon Regional Park (upper portion)
