Police investigate suspicious death of woman

The death of a woman in Kelowna is being treated as suspicious.

RCMP was called to the intersection of Highway 33 W and Nickel Road just after 7:00 a.m this morning (Sept. 19). When officers arrived they located the body of a deceased woman whose death is believed to be suspicious.

“Investigators from the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit have taken conduct of the investigation. Officers remain on scene collecting physical evidence and canvassing for witnesses and surveillance video,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

Further information, including the identity of the dead woman, is not being released at this time.
