B.C. Vaccine Card required to access certain settings Monday
The province’s health ministry is reminding B.C. residents that, starting on Monday (Sept. 27), they must have their B.C. Vaccine Card in order to access certain non-essential settings.
While the proof-of-vaccination program for places such as restaurants and theatres began on Sept. 13, those settings were previously able to accept the paper record residents received at the time of their immunization as proof. That ends Monday.
“More than 3.1 million British Columbians have already received their BC Vaccine Card, allowing them to attend events and indoor recreational settings more safely,” said Health Minister Adrian Dix in a release.
Proof of vaccination must be presented to access discretionary settings. It is not needed to shop for groceries or patronize a fast food restaurant.
Residents can access their B.C. Vaccine Card at this website, and either download a digital copy or print a hard copy.
