Suspicious death under investigation

RCMP in Kelowna are investigating the death of a woman that is considered suspicious.

Police were called to the 1800-block of Vasile Road in Kelowna on Friday (Oct. 29) just after 6:00 p.m. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle with the body of a deceased woman.

Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said the death is believed to be suspicious.

“Investigators from the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit have taken conduct of the investigation. Officers remain on scene collecting physical evidence and canvassing for witnesses and surveillance video. No arrests have been made at this time,” Noseworthy stated.

The identity of the dead person, and other details, are not being released at this time.
