Holland joins elite list to enter Hockey Hall of Fame
Vernon’s Ken Holland, the general manager of the Edmonton Oilers, will be among those inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in an event to be shown on TSN5 at 5:00 p.m. today.
Jarome Iginla, Marian Hossa, Kim St-Pierre, Kevin Lowe and Doug Wilson are the players entering the Hall.

The inductees were originally announced on June 24, 2020, but the ceremony was delayed a year because of COVID-19.
The wait is finally over as Kim St-Pierre, Kevin Lowe, Doug Wilson, Ken Holland, Marian Hossa and Jarome Iginla are inducted into the @HockeyHallFame.

The hall then made the decision to not have a class of 2021 so the current group wouldn’t have to share centre stage.
Holland, 66, was born in Vernon and still returns home in the summers.
The former goalie, who won four Stanley Cups while with the Detroit Red Wings, was recently presented with the Freedom of the City award by the City of Vernon.
