A mobile home on the Westbank First Nation sustained significant damage in an overnight fire.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue (WKFR) responded to the blaze in the PineRidge Mobile Home Park just after midnight this morning.

“First arriving firefighters from the Westbank station found a fire on the deck that had extended into the mobile home. Crews from Lakeview, Rose Valley and Glenrosa responded to assist,” said WKFR chief Jason Brolund.

Crews kept the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

“The mobile home sustained fire damage throughout. Two residents are in the care of Emergency Support Services,” Brolund added.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
