A Salmon Arm man who was on the lam with his two teenage daughters has been apprehended in Eastern Canada.

Forty-year old Caleb Gerbrandt was arrested in Ontario Tuesday, Feb. 8.

Gerbrandt had been on the run since Jan. 21, breaking the curfew conditions related to a case of sexual interference and sexual assault of a minor.

He had fled his Salmon Arm residence, taking his two daughters, 14-year-old Eliyah and 13-year-old Avery, from their grandparent’s house where they had been staying.

The RCMP say the girls were found, and police confirmed their wellbeing.

Gerbrandt will be returned to British Columbia at a later date to answer to charges.
