Clear snow from vehicle or face fine: RCMP
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP are reminding people that snow buildup on vehicles is dangerous and drivers can be fined.
In a tweet Thursday, the RCMP said a driver was issued a $173 ticket for an ‘insecure load’ as there was a large amount of snow build up on the vehicle.
The RCMP say if that snow were to come of it could cause an accident or serious injury.
Motorists are reminded to clear their vehicles of snow before getting behind the wheel.
This driver was stopped and issued a $173 ticket for insecure load. Driving with a snowcap like this on your vehicle is dangerous and could cause an accident or serious injuries if it breaks free. Take the time to clear your vehicle before heading out on the road.
