Gun-toting robber flees store after threatening staff
RCMP have issued a photo of a robbery suspect who police say used a gun to threaten the staff at a Lake Country store.
Police were called to the 9500 block of Main Street just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 24).
Mounties say a masked man entered a store, threatened the employees with a firearm, robbed the store of cash and merchandise and fled on foot. The two employees were not injured.
Mounties and a police dog service team searched the area, but could not locate the suspect.
Police are looking for a Caucasian man who was wearing a tan Carhartt jacket and carrying a blue duffle bag.
“Lake Country RCMP is thankful the employees were not injured in this robbery,” said Constable Michael Della-Paolera, media relations officer. “If anyone has any information about this incident or suspect, please call the Lake Country RCMP”.
