Masks to remain mandatory at YLW

Though the provincial masking mandates have been repealed, the use of face coverings will still be required at the Kelowna Airport.

Mask mandates continue to be in place for Canadians travelling by air and for other federally regulated travel, meaning Kelowna International Airport (YLW) will continue to require the use of masks.

This will apply for the security screening area, the departure lounge, and the arrival area. People will be required to keep their masks on during the pre-board screening, while in the lounge and the food and beverage locations, unless seated and actively eating or drinking, and in airside corridors and airbridges.

Masks must also be worn while on the aircraft for the duration of the flight.

Face coverings are not mandatory in the pre-security area of the YLW terminal, but they are recommended.
