RCMP investigating serious assault
Mounties in Kelowna are investigating a serious assault that sent a man to hospital this morning.
RCMP were called to the 1000-block of Sunset Drive in Kelowna at 1:35 a.m. on March 21 for a report of an assault.
The RCMP say a security guard who had been working in the area was stabbed by an unknown male suspect.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated and released for serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Officers, with assistance from the RCMP Police Dog Services, searched the area but could not locate the suspect.
βThe suspect is a white man, 30 to 40 years of age, 5β8β tall, with a large build and blonde hair wearing a black fur-rimmed parka and carrying a backpack,β said Cpl. Tammy Lobb, media relations officer for the Kelowna RCMP
