Police are investigating after a Porsche SUV crashed into a building in Kelowna, and the driver was no where to be found.

Officers responded to the crash site in the 1900-block area of Enterprise Way just before 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning (Apr. 20).

When officers arrived, they located the vehicle involved, a black Porsche Cayenne. The driver had left the scene prior to police arrival and could not be located.

Investigators have identified the driver as a 40-year-old man from Kelowna. Two men were struck by the vehicle and they sustained minor injuries.

“The victims have been uncooperative in this investigation and it appears to have been an isolated incident with no risk to public safety,” said Cpl. Tammy Lobb, Media Relations Officer for the Kelowna RCMP. “There was extensive damage to the business and we are grateful no bystanders were injured.”

The investigation is ongoing and charges may be pending against the driver.
