Kelowna considers anti-idling bylaw

Kelowna council is looking at options to reduce vehicle idling in the city for environmental reasons such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality.

Staff is recommended a one-minute idling control bylaw, along with an education program and a mostly educational enforcement strategy.

Staff will present a draft bylaw to council on June 27, 2022.
