Decision time for recycling program
Kelowna council will decide by June whether to continue to collect recycling on behalf of Recycle BC or request the organization take over collection.
One concern is the current contamination rate of nearly 14 per cent for the residential blue bin program.
In other Kelowna council news, an application for a development permit and zoning bylaw change for the next phase at the former Hiawatha RV Park at 3773-3795 Lakeshore Road will go to public hearing May 31.
The developer is seeking a height increase to 17 storeys from 11 storeys.
