RDCO to hold hazardous Waste Round Up

North Westside Rd. residents will have a chance to dispose of household hazardous waste products.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) will provide residents with valid ID an opportunity to safely dispose of the hazardous waste materials from around their homes at the North Westside Rd. transfer station from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23.

Household and aerosol paint, flammable liquids and aerosols, domestic pesticides with the poison symbol and PCP number, gas in approved ULC containers, household and automotive batteries, electronics and computer equipment, small appliances, lights and light fixtures will all be collected during the round up.

Propane tanks, chemicals or commercial waste products will not be accepted.

The transfer station is located along the Sugarloaf Mountain/Whiteman Creek Forest Service Road, approximately 3.2 kilometres past Udell Rd. in Killiney Beach.
