The Keremeos Creek wildfire has led to highway and road closures in the South Okanagan.

DriveBC reports that Highway 3A is closed in both directions between between Keremeos and Kaleden, which is between Penticton and Okanagan Falls.

There is no estimated time for reopening the 31.5 km section of Hwy 3A.

A detour is available from Keremeos to Osoyoos.

Additionally, Green Mountain Rd. from Apex Mountain Road, east of Penticton, down to Hwy 3A, south of Marron Valley, is closed due to the fire.

The wildfire has also resulted in a closure of Hedley-Nickleplate Rd. near the community of Hedley, north-west of Keremeos. There is no timeline for reopening that road and no detour in place, but DriveBC said an assessment is underway.
