The body of missing man from Surrey has been recovered from Okanagan Lake.
RCMP say Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) located the 26-year-old victim today using an underwater drop camera at the site where he was last seen.
RCMP said earlier a man fell into the lake at the marina in downtown Kelowna and didn’t surface on Saturday evening (Aug. 13).
“We are all saddened by this tragic outcome and we have offered all supports available to the man’s family” said Cst. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer.
Police do not suspect criminality in the apparent drowning with the BC Coroners Service investigating the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
