School fire

The Lake Country Fire Department responded to a fire at George Elliott Secondary School Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was limited to the roof and exterior wall of the auxiliary gymnasium outside the girl’s change room.

The school district expects it won’t affect the return to school in September and will work with the fire department and RCMP as they investigate the cause.
