Outdoor watering restrictions in effect in RDCO

The Regional District of central Okanagan (RDCO) is returning to an odd and even outdoor irrigation schedule.

Unless otherwise designated, customers of the six water systems must follow the schedule laid out in Stage 1 of outdoor watering restrictions.

This regulation permits residences with even-numbered addresses to irrigate on even numbered calendar days, and odd-numbered properties can water on odd days.

Customers with automated irrigation systems may only water outside their designated days between midnight and 6 a.m. Manual outdoor irrigation is restricted to between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight.

The RDCO asks that people not waste water if watering on an allotted day is not necessary.
