Incumbent mayor re-elected in West Kelowna
The City of West Kelowna has some newcomers joining council, however the mayor’s seat isn’t changing hands.
Gord Milsom was re-elected as mayor with 4,410 (79.8 per cent) of the votes cast, well ahead of challenger Andrew Kwaczynski who had 855 votes.
Milsom will be joined by four incumbents and two newcomers in the council chamber.

- Rick De Jong (incumbent) (2,958 votes)
- Tasha Da Silva (newcomer) (2,595 votes)
- Jason Friesen (incumbent) (2,565 votes)
- Carol Zanon (incumbent) (2,518 votes)
- Garrett Millsap (newcomer) (2,092 votes)
The city has an estimated 28,098 eligible voters. With 5,522 ballots cast in the election, the participation rate was roughly 19.9 per cent.
Additionally, incumbent Chantelle Derosiers was elected as the West Kelowna school trustee with 2,937 votes. Laurie Bowen, who is associated with the electoral organization Parents Voice B.C., earned 1,924 votes in her loss.
The results are preliminary and will need to be reviewed and verified by the Chief Election officer. The official results will be announced at a later date.
