If you feel like dancing this weekend — and taking part in a global event — boogie on down to Stuart Park in Kelowna.

Thrill The World 2022 on Saturday (Oct. 29) is being organized by Studio 9 in Kelowna, their first fully open event in a few years without pandemic restrictions.

“We can invite everyone to come and dance. It is free and it is fun. Put on your best zombie, register at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and we dance at exactly 3:00 p.m. to match others around the world all dancing together,” said Michael Guzzi from Studio 9.

People will be dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

People are asked to bring an item for the food bank or make a donation at the registration table.

“You can learn to dance at thrilltheworld.com or just come and follow along. It’s a great Halloween warm up,” Guzzi remarked.

Organizers say Thrill The World is a global project that inspires others to break down barriers by connecting people of all religions, races, political and economic backgrounds.
