Police look to find owner of ‘significant’ amount of money

There was no update from police on the weekend after they said they were searching for the owner of a significant amount of cash that was found downtown.

A couple picked it up on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of Ellis Street on October 15.

If the owner wants it back they have to identify how much was there.

“This amount of money is an unusual find,” said Constable Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer with Kelowna RCMP. “We are asking the person who may have lost it to come forward and claim it.”
