RCMP in Salmon Arm are investigating several suspicious events over two days that may be connected.

On Sunday, May 28, Salmon Arm RCMP attended the Shuswap Lake General Hospital for reports of a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was uncooperative with police and later found to be wanted on Canada-wide parole violation warrants. He was arrested and turned over to federal corrections.

While officers were dealing with the man in the hospital, Salmon Arm Mounties also responded to a vehicle fire to the east of Canoe on a forest service road.

The car was later reported stolen from Alberta, and police believe it could have been involved in the shooting.

Then, on Monday, May 29, RCMP responded to a call of a newer model black Ford Bronco with bullet holes in the area of Harbourfront and Marine Park Drives.

Police located the vehicle, which is also believed the vehicle to be linked to the previous day’s cases.

Salmon Arm RCMP are investigating the case and ask any witnesses or people with dashcam or surveillance footage from the areas or of the vehicles in question to contact the police at 250-832-6044.
