B.C. Parks camping reservations open
Hikers, campers and explorers can start to plan their spring adventures.
B.C. Parks has opened registration, allowing visitors to can book a campsite four moths ahead of their desired trip.
May long weekend reservations will open Wednesday, Jan. 17.
For 2024, B.C. Parks added Martha Creek Provincial Park campground to the reservation program. The park is located north of Revelstoke.
Martha Creek, the only provincial campground on the Revelstoke reservoir, has a new campground loop, accessible pit toilets, potable water, grey-water disposal, and garbage and recycling facilities. The facility has a total of 108 sites, with 83 available for reservation and the remainder available on a first-come, first-served basis.
People wishing to book their camping trips this spring can do so through the B.C. Parks website.
The province launched a Notify Me feature for camping reservations in 2023, which will remain available for people wishing to be informed when a previously booked site at a specific campground becomes available. People can sign up for up to five notifications through the system.
More than 366,000 camping reservations were made last year, a 15 per cent increase from 2022.
