A man accused of the murder that took place near Westside Road will appear in court in early March.
Peter Visintainer is charged with the first-degree murder of Wolf-Ingo Rudolph Beyer, whose body was found in the Six Mile Creek area on May 29, 2022.
Visintainer, born in 1961, appeared in Kamloops Supreme Court Feb. 13 and Feb. 16 for pre-trial conferences.
Following those conferences, an appearance was scheduled for March 4, 2024, in Vernon Supreme Court to fix a date for a trial.
At last update the jury trial was still planned to be held in Kamloops, as a request to change the venue from Vernon Supreme Court by Crown counsel was approved in January of 2024.
