Fire damages home’s interior

The Kelowna fire department was able to knock down a blaze in a house in the 2000 block of Richter Street Thursday afternoon.

Unfortunately the interior of the structure sustained heavy damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

KFD says a working smoke detector alerted the two adults and five children that were in the home at the time and they all got out safely.
