Downed power line the suspected cause of the wildfire near West Kelowna

A wildfire that sparked near West Kelowna is suspected of being caused by a downed power line.
That’s according to an investigation by the West Kelowna Fire Rescue.
The wildfire started shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, August 18, near the Glenrosa/Highway 97 interchange.
The fire was a little over 0.1 hectares and burned grass and trees, but crews from the city’s four fire stations were able to control it before it threatened any structures.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue said there were no reported injuries in relation to this fire.
