Oliver, Olivia the most popular baby names in B.C. in 2024
The most popular male baby name in the province has changed.
There were 216 Olivers born in B.C. in 2024, surpassing Noah, which was the previous year’s most popular name.
There were also 172 Olivias born in 2024, making it the most popular female baby name for the ninth straight year.

Vital Statistics, the province’s data collection agency, had not fully updated it’s figures for 2024, but as of Nov. 1, 2024, there had been 328 births in the Vernon Centre/Coldstream health area.
