Central Okanagan Emergency Management is upgrading how it delivers urgent public safety information with a new system called Alertable by PEASI.

The service replaces the current email notifications and allows residents to receive alerts through multiple channels, including mobile app notifications, text messages, email, and voice calls.

Alertable delivers notifications for evacuation alerts, wildfires, floods, landslides, and other hazards, and works on mobile devices, computers, and smart home devices.

Residents can choose which locations to follow, including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, Westbank First Nation, and the broader Central Okanagan region.

Subscribers can sign in at www.coemergency.ca/subscribe or download the Alertable app to customize how they receive alerts and the types of notifications they want.

Emergency information will continue to be shared through all official channels, with Alertable providing faster, more accessible updates during critical situations.
