The Kelowna Rockets are moving on after becoming the first team in the WHL to reach the second round this season. They swept the Kamloops Blazers with a 6-2 win Wednesday night.

Vojtech Cihar led the way with two goals and finished the four-game series with six goals and 10 points. Keith McInnis added two assists, while Hayden Paupanekis, Dawson Gerwing, Tomas Poletin and Carson Wetsch also scored.

Kamloops opened the scoring early, but Kelowna responded late in the first and took control in the second period, building a 3-1 lead. The Rockets pulled away in the third with two quick goals to put the game out of reach.

Harrison Boettiger made 31 saves in the win and finished the series with a 4-0 record. Kelowna now awaits its next opponent as the league re-seeds for the second round.
