Bald Range Creek fire brought under control

The B.C. Wildfire Service says the Bald Range Creek fire on the west side of Okanagan Lake is under control.
The BCWS updated the classification of the fire off Westside Road between Wilson Landing and Fintry at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, July 19.
The fire sparked at approximately 6:11 p.m. Monday, July 17, and had grown to an estimated size of 4.08 hectares before being brought under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, power remained out for 69 B.C. Hydro customers in the area.
The utility provider stated crews were on the scene as of 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, and power was expected to be restored by 3 p.m.
DriveBC reported Westside Road was open to single lane, alternating traffic through the area impacted by the fire, with the next update at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
