Wanted man sought by police

A man facing a number of charges is being sought by police after failing to appear in court.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to locate 52-year-old Stewart Wayne Tkachuk.

Tkachuk is wanted for breaching his release order after not showing up for his trial in B.C Supreme Court in Vernon this week on charges ranging from aggravated assault to unlawful confinement.

Stewart Tkachuk is described as:

• 5’8 (173 cm)
• 161 lb (73 kg)
• Shaved head with tattoos on his skull and neck
• Green eyes
