Farm land could be used for BC Transit facility

Kelowna Council will ask the the Agricultural Land Commission to exclude 16-hectares from the Land Reserve at 4690 Highway 97 North.
The plan is to relocate BC Transit’s Regional Facility, and extend Hollywood Road north to connect with John Hindle Drive.
In other Kelowna council news,
The city is partnering with YLW and UBCO to provide university parking at Kelowna International Airport which is still slowed by the pandemic.
UBCO staff and students can rent a stall for $360 per semester, starting Sept. 20.
A shuttle will be used to move people between the facilities.
