Rockets to have fans at game for first time in 551 days
Friday night at Prospera Place (Sept. 17) will be special, even if it’s just for a preseason game.
For the first time in 551 days, fans will be allowed inside the arena to watch the Kelowna Rockets host the Victoria Royals to open the Western Hockey League preseason. The Royals and Rockets also play in the building Saturday night.
Tickets for the Rockets three home preseason games went on sale to the general public through Select Your Tickets at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16.
In other Rockets news, the WHL has announced changes to the team’s regular season schedule, including a new home opener date.
As a result of the October 1 game versus the Vancouver Giants being moved to November 3, Kelowna will now open the regular season on the road against the Victoria Royals on Friday, October 8.
The Rockets will have their first home game against the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m.
