Mosquito control work planned in the Central Okanagan

The second round of catch basin mosquito control will go in the Central Okanagan next week.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan said its Mosquito Control program crew will be visiting area neighbourhoods to drop water soluble pouches containing environmentally approved mosquito larvicide into roadside catch basins.
The team members will be wearing high visibility vests and travelling through neighbourhoods on electric bicycles, scooters or vehicles adorned with Mosquito Control signage as they complete their work, which is expected to go from July 21 to 26.

The RDCO said approximately 12,000 roadside catch basins will be treated through the program.
This will be the second round of mosquito control work, following up an initial treatments done in June.
