Highway 97 was closed for hours heading into Lake Country from Kelowna this evening following a bad accident.
It happened between Commonwealth and Beaver Lake Roads and the highway was closed in both directions.
Glenmore Road, the only alternative between Kelowna and Lake Country, was heavily backed up by re-routed traffic.
The road has reopened with some lane closures.
