Police investigate targeted stabbing in central Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP are investigating a stabbing reported in the city’s downtown core Monday evening.

Officers were called around 7:30 pm on Feb. 17 to assist BC Emergency Health Services in the 1000 block of Richter Street, where a person was found suffering from stab wounds.

The Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section said the incident is believed to have been targeted. Investigators are working with the victim to determine the events that led up to the stabbing.

Police have not released details on a suspect or the condition of the victim, and said the investigation remains ongoing.
