Kelowna Mounties say thefts from vehicles parked in driveways and on residential streets are on the rise.
Police are reminding residents to lock their cars and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight. “If you are the victim of stolen property, please contact police immediately,” the RCMP said in a social media post Monday.
Citywide property crime has mostly stayed stable: assaults with a weapon, break-and-enters, auto theft, and theft from vehicles all fell in 2025. Some crimes rose, including bike thefts, robberies, mischief, and shoplifting.
Victims are being encouraged to contact Kelowna RCMP right away.
