Police are investigating after several agricultural water meters were vandalized in southeast Kelowna, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

The City of Kelowna says the incidents happened between April 8 and 9 at multiple locations, where water meters located near property boundaries were deliberately damaged.

Officials say the vandalism led to ruptured pipes and repair costs exceeding $15,000. The meters are used to support both the city’s utility system and irrigation needs for local farms.

City staff are working to identify all affected properties and have begun replacing the damaged equipment to maintain water service.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP.
