Elections B.C. begins final counting Friday in the provincial election, with an estimated 150,000 additional ballots to be reviewed across the province.

In Kelowna-Centre, just over 1,000 ballots remain to be counted. Conservative incumbent Kristina Loewen holds a 132-vote lead over NDP challenger Loyal Wooldridge following the initial count.

The outstanding ballots could still change the outcome in the closely contested riding, along with some other seats elsewhere in the province.

Final counting begins at 8 a.m. Friday, with results updated every 30 minutes on the Elections B.C. website.

The count includes mail-in ballots, absentee votes and ballots cast through assisted telephone voting.

Final results are expected by Nov. 10.
