Central Okanagan Business Walk Survey now open, Business Walk going today
The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has opened it’s 2021 edition of the Central Okanagan Business Walk Survey to run in conjunction with B.C. Small Business Week.
The Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission (COEDC) is asking local businesses to fill in the short survey to share operational experience and goals for moving forward.
The COEDC, in partnership with 13 organizations from municipalities in the region, is also holding the annual Business Walk on Tuesday, Oct. 19, to make short visits to local businesses and “capture the pulse of businesses through the region.”
The Business Walk will also provide an opportunity to connect businesses with support agencies, communicate industry intelligence to civic and business stakeholders, and identify opportunities for the COEDC and partner organizations to support local business.
The Business Walk will be a COVID -safe hybrid model this year. Door to door visits will be done, all while following public health orders. The volunteers in the walk will ask the businesses owners questions about employee recruitment and retention, general business challenges and future strategic plans.
“As we prepare for fall and shift into winter, the COEDC and Partner Organizations are eager to connect with local businesses and provide an avenue for them to share their experience and outlook moving forward,” said Krista Mallory, Manager of the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission.
“We are focused on moving forward as a region and supporting the needs of our diverse local economy and community.”
