Okanagan Clinical Trials is seeking people living with Parkinson’s disease to participate in an investigational medication study.

The Kelowna-based company is conducting a study on a new medication to determine the effectiveness and safety in treating the progressive neurodegenerative disorder.

“We are excited about this new clinical trial, which would further advance research into Parkinson’s disease and how to treat it,” said Dr. Okorie, Principal Investigator.

Okanagan Clinical Trials is seeking both men and women between the ages of 40 and 70 who have been diagnosed with Parkinsons disease within the last two years to volunteer for the study.

This study is part of a worldwide effort to treat Parkinson’s. Approximately 300 patients around the world are needed to participate in the 18 month long study.

Participants will not be required to pay for any study drug or any tests or medical procedures while part of the study.

Those who wish to learn more or volunteer for the study can contact Okanagan Clinical Trials online or at 250-862-8141.
