Kelowna RCMP investigating altercation that led to victim being injured
An investigation has been launched into an altercation in Kelowna Wednesday morning that resulted in a man receiving non-life threatening injuries.
Mounties say at approximately 7:57 a.m. on Dec. 15, a worker arrived at a construction site on Foxtrail Terrace and witnessed two people in a nearby vehicle.
The man approached the vehicle and he and the two other individuals got into a verbal disagreement.
One of the vehicle occupants allegedly produced what is believed to have been an imitation firearm and injured the victim. The suspect vehicle then rammed the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.
The victim, a 42-year-old Kelowna man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non- life-threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle, a silver Dodge Charger, was reported as stolen. The occupants were described as a man and woman wearing face-masks.
“We are working diligently to identify the suspects in this incident,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP.
“Our officers are canvassing for witnesses and security footage at this time, and we encourage anyone with information to come forward and speak with us immediately.”
