Shooting in hotel parking lot injures two

Two men were shot outside a West Kelowna hotel in what police believe was a targeted attack.

At around 5:30 p.m. today (Dec. 20), RCMP responded to 911 calls that shots were fired in the parking lot of a hotel in the 4000 area of Pritchard Drive, identified in media reports as Barona Beach Lakeview Resort.

Two male victims are currently being treated for serious injuries at Kelowna General Hospital.

“The investigation is in the early stages; however, there is no indication this was a random incident,” said Cpl. Tammy Lobb, media relations officer.

Officers have been in the area processing the scene as the investigation continues.
