Kelowna house severely damaged in suspicious fire
A boarded-up residence that was the subject to a fire a week before in Kelowna has been significantly damaged by another blaze.
Kelowna fire crews arrived at the scene in the 1200 block of Leathead Road at approximately 12:39 p.m. today.
Crews noted the fire was visible from a window space in the front of the single-story house.
The blaze had caused significant structure damage, making it impossible for firefighters to enter the house. An exterior attack was instead used to knock down the fire.
A search of the house will be done after the fire has been completely extinguished.
The structure in question had been the scene of a reported fire seven days ago, and the cause of this incident has been deemed as suspicious.
Kelowna RCMP will take over the investigation.
