Health care professionals sought to help administer vaccines

More health care professionals could soon be administering COVID-19 vaccines.
Interior Health is seeking qualified health-care workers to support immunization clinics throughout the region.
Those who are considered ‘qualified health-care providers’ by the health authority include:
- Retired nurses
- Midwives
- Practicing and non-practicing physicians
- Nursing students
- Dentists
- Dental hygienists
- First responders, including paramedics and firefighters,
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
- Chiropractors
Health-care providers in the Interior that wish to assist at immunization clinics can apply through Interior Health’s website.
